The Art of becoming Financially Intelligent!

I played the most awesome game over the weekend. I must say that I have played many games, but there is absolutely no game like it. The game lasted over 4hrs and after it all, we all agreed on one thing … it was time well spent. We were going home wiser, more deep in thought as to the state of our finances and above all, more financially intelligent and clear about our next steps.

Indeed, I am someone that loves reading business and financial magazines and books that would increase my financial intelligence. I spend a reasonable amount of money acquiring these books and buying magazines like ‘Stockswatch’, ‘Moneywise’, ‘Success Digest Extra’, ‘360° Business’, /Financial Guide’ e.t.c., weekly or bi-weekly as the case may be. But I must say that this game opened my eyes to even more truths and revelation than I had ever gotten from those books.

I am not saying that reading these books and magazines isn’t good. There is nothing wrong with that. Infact, there is a saying that ‘everyone should have at the least read books that are equal to his/her age, so, at 30yrs, you should have read atleast 30 motivational, inspirational, leadership and/or financial intelligence books. We need to consistently read books that increase our IQ, our knowledge on subject matters and consistently keep ourselves abreast and in-tune with market happenings, life and God. Nevertheless, what I am saying is that the game helps you get a practical feel of what you need to do to get out of life’s rat race and be financially free.

So, what’s the game? It’s Robert Kiyosaki’s (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad) Cashflow 101 board game. Every aspect of the game and everything we did can be aligned with most people’s everyday lives of waking up every morning to go to work and then, get our low, medium or huge paycheck at the end of the month. Whether we admit it or not, a lot of us know that we are not fulfilled with the employee lifestyle that simply goes in cycles. You see, we lived our lives out on that board. We were clamoring to get out of the rat race. Some did and most did not. Honestly, you need to play this game. It’s not something I can gist you. Every individual that intends to gain financial freedom must endeavour to dedicate at least one Saturday before the end of this year to get trained on this game, so that, next year can start on a more financially intelligent note.

So, if you are totally on top of your finances, have 90-100% financial intelligence– i.e. you have a balance sheet you update regularly on your investments and expenditure, know how to balance your portfolio to take care of your retirement, earn passive income monthly and know how to balance and manage your personal finance, then, by all means, please, feel free to disregard this information, however, if you are not, then kindly pay attention to this.

The program is called Billionaires in Training (B.I.T.).

On Saturday 26th of July, 2008, by 12noon at Blue Ribbon Hotel, Allen lane, Ikeja, there’ll be another one of the Billionaires in Training program. Professionals from different fields come together to play Cashflow 101 together, have lunch, exchange experiences and business cards. After the game we go through a debriefing session where we all learn. Believe it, you wouldn’t find another meeting with a similar effect.  This session is a special edition with an offer price of N5,000. This money covers the tuition, your feeding, the hall and training materials.

Benefits:

I am sure you would thank me afterwards, if you make it for this meeting, as you will become financially intelligent within 4hrs. You will be introduced to real live investment opportunities. You will come out with clear thoughts about how to prepare for your financial future. Your antenna for wealth creation will be awakened, and it will drive you to ultimately achieving financial freedom.  You would also get an opportunity to meet with 23 other successful Nigerians, network and build lasting relationships.

If this date is not free for you, there are other sessions coming up, just let me know. I know you should be interested. If you are interested, just drop a comment in the ‘your response‘ box below this post indicating your interest and click the ‘submit comment’ button and and I’ll provide you with information on how to pay. If you are also interested in sponsoring people, you are also welcome. However, if you really cannot afford it and you strongly desire to be a part of this revolution, then, you can apply for scholarship and state the percentage discount you want. New Naija Club (NNC) sponsors people based on genuine limitations and merit. All you also need to do is, just drop a comment in the ‘your response‘ box below this post indicating your interest in applying for scholarship and click the ‘submit comment’ button.

Please note that there are only 24 openings and the seats fill up quickly. So, do indicate your interest on time to secure your seat.

If you have to do anything for yourself for the remaining part of this year, BE THERE!
